International travel requirements vary by destination, species, route, and travel date. Dr. Diaz confirms the applicable certificate, microchip, vaccination, testing, treatment, and endorsement requirements before preparing your pet's documents. Airline requirements may be separate from the destination country's entry requirements.
A USDA-accredited veterinarian prepares and issues the health certificate. USDA APHIS endorsement is required when specified by the destination. Dr. Diaz confirms the requirements and timing for your route and guides you through the endorsement process.
Contact us at least 2 weeks before domestic travel and ideally 3–4 weeks before international travel to plan the process. Destinations such as Australia and New Zealand may require 6+ months of preparation. Advance planning is different from the certificate's validity window: the examination, certificate, and any required treatments must be completed within the timing required for your route.

Pet travel certificate visits start at $695, which covers travel, physical exam, nursing, and certificate preparation. Additional pets are available at reduced rates. USDA endorsement fees are separate and paid directly to APHIS.
